Art is a branch of knowledge based in individual experiences and in order to learn we must question. My work is about questioning the self. The means to attain that purpose are what define our human condition: language, actions, memories, feelings, the body and our relations with the surrounding world.
The work normally translates that in the form of time based media, video and interactive installations, and photography.
I understand an artwork, as conceived by the artist, as an experience materialized in the interface that actively engages the observer and reflects their role in its realization. In this context the artist acknowledges the active and open role of the observer in the interpretation of the work, while the observer acts to perceive and interpret the interface and thus contributes to the construction of the artwork.
I don’t expect to give answers, as I am looking for the questions. I just hope to provide the individual experiences to engage the observer in the learning process.
