Meaning and the dictatorship of its use.
Four channels sound installation, 2007.
This work was present at the Inventing Methodologies 2 Workshop. The session's chair introduced me to the audience and while the lights went off, leaving the video projector's blue screen to light the room and the expectations. I moved towards the back corner of the conference room and pressed play in one of the CD players and with a small delay the other three players started to play. Each player was plug to an independent speaker and reproducing the same text but out-of-synch.
The text was the paper that i wrote about practice-based methodologies in art research context. Its meaning was constructed according to the position of each person in the room, their actions and their understandings of issues addressed. In the middle of the room the text was almost impossible to follow but if seated near one of the speakers it would be easier to follow.

Inventing Methodologies 2 was the second in a series of experimental workshops designed to provide a platform for the discussion of the novel and highly-contested notion of practice-based research. It took place at Goldsmiths College, 2007.
